can having rage disorder ( not simple anger ) be cured or treated effectively?

We Answered:

the anger comes with BPD and can be helped with anger management

EDIT
mate, believe me, you don't have a rage disorder, i have the exactly same anger problems, it comes with been borderline, your mind is playing tricks on you and making you believe you have other things, you are borderline and nothing else, you need to get into therapy to make a recovery

Kathryn Said:

do you think i could be ruined forever ?

We Answered:

First you are not ruined for ever, nobody ever is.

Secondly, you aren't going to solve anything by going to another country because your problems are just going to follow you.

Thirdly, you can't change the past, only the present and future so stop dwelling on what has happened and start making thing happen for you now.

This is your life, the only one you have. Make it work for you.

Start at the beginning. Get a job even if it is just a volunteer job. Helping others is the best way to make yourself feel better. And a volunteer job still looks like a job on a cv so this will be a good way to get out of the ditch.

Then start taking some physical exercise which will build your self esteem and help you to stop dwelling on your own illnesses. Use an ankle support if you are running but don't use it all the time as you need to improve your muscles.

And for heavens sake stop thinking about yourself and how people see or treat you. Start taking an interest in them. Stop and ask how they are. Take the time to remember what they say and ask them if things are better next time you see them. You will be amazed about how they respond.

what do i do here in this situation?

We Answered:

Hi, I thought I had things bad until I read your post. I am suffering from severe post traumatic stress disorder an am lucky to get counselling every week for my condition I am also agoraphobic and cannot get out at all, but have to be collected by an ambulance to get to the hospital for treatment. One thing that has come up during my treatments is a term they call EMDR which is a new form of treatment to help people like me come to terms with there condition it sounds like the ideal treatment for you, look it up on the internet an ask you psychologist about it it may help you. I wish you well an all the luck in the world.

Jesse Said:

what do i do in this situation ? do i worry about a co-existing illness?

We Answered:

get a second opinion from another therapist. also, as there are different types of therapy, get one that is a better match to your needs.

as for those other disorders, that is a way for your mind to be giving you hints that your therapy is not working as it should and you feel that uneasiness.
