Occupational Therapist Assistant School

Bobby Said:

Is it possible for me to go to school part time to become a physical therapist assistant? ?

We Answered:

Nearly all programs are in full-time day format. However, follow this link and you will get a list of all PTA programs in the US. Those noted as "F4" are in part time day format, and those as F5 are in part time evening format. There are only a few in the country, but perhaps you are near one of them. Also know that when in comes time to do your clinicals, you may still have to do full time day format or whatever the therapist's schedule is:

Kay Said:

Should I become a physician's assistant or an occupational therapist? I'm currently a junior in high school.?

We Answered:

both work with patients, both make good money, and i am almost positive that the prereqs for these professions are very similar. Personally I do not want to have to be on call or forced to work midnights thats why i went into Occupational therapy, but if you like that stuff then go for PA, i think there might be more jobs available for PA's also.

Do a job-shadow, call your local hospital and ask to shadow an OT one day and then a PA then next, i did that to narrow down my choices between x-ray tech and OT.
