I am taking online classes at Ashworth college. I am taking 3 difffer classes. I am doing Medical billing an claims, medical transcription, medical and dental assistant. They offer Physical Therapy aid their also. I looked into it to and thinking about doing it next. It is $794. I really like the school. It is a self paced school so you can get done in a couple months or they give you up to 2 years to do it. You also get a military discount since your husbands in the military you will save even more money. if you look up ashworth it iswww.ashworthcollege.edu

Do not pay for anything to be an aide. It is on the job training for PT and OT aides. Penn Foster is a rip off. Many nursing homes will pay you and train you to become CNA.Mitchell Said:

They are not the same in most states. An ASSISTANT is a certified person with specialized training in occupational therapy that can provide treatment with and OTR supervision, but generally the OTR does not have to be on-site. Typically, a OTA has an associates degree in occupational therapy assistance. A certified ASSISTANT can not do evaluations or discharge, but can treat the patient. A COTA (certified occupational therapy assistant) can have their treatment billed to insurance.An AIDE is an unregulated person who helps in an OT clinic. They may transport patients, help the OT by organizing the clinic, cleaning the equipment or monitoring the patient under DIRECT occupational therapist (OTR) supervision.
Obviously, there is a significant pay scale difference.
