Daryl Said:

male Occupational Therapy Assistant?

We Answered:

There are males and females in every profession in the medical field. People are needed regardless of their gender. If it's something you enjoy, go for it. I am in a male dominated area, I am a female paramedic.

Henry Said:

Does anyone know where I can apply for student Grants?

We Answered:

Just go to the Financial Aid Office at the school you want to go to and they'll help you fill out what you need to apply for a Pell Grant and/or any Scholarships and/or Student Loans that you may qualify for.

Gabriel Said:

Associate of Arts in Music + PTA or COTA (Physical/Occupational Therapy Assistant)?

We Answered:

Due to the technical nature of of classes in PTA or COTA as well as the required clinical fieldwork component, it may not be doable to double major or even minor in a course of study. Perhaps you can take some music courses for your electives though preferably after talking with a student advisor regarding which music and other electives would count towards graduation.

Before you take prerequisite courses for either PTA or OTA, please job shadow/observe in the various departments with either may work including a physical rehabilitation hospital that treats patients with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), spinal cord injury/paralysis, stroke ("brain attack") which is another type of brain injury, shoulder/knee/hip replacement, amputated limb, hip fracture or such - pediatric hospital - nursing home/long-term care facility.

Please also be aware that not all science and other classes may transfer such as 'human anatomy' NOT usually transferring but instead perhaps 'general anatomy and physiology' so it's best to check Before taking certain courses as to not waste money :)
