Alberto Said:

from where can i get the list of books on occupational therapy?

We Answered:

There are a lot of books on that topic - are you looking for school? If you give me a bit more detail, I may be able to help you - I am an occupational therapist. If you go to amazon.com and serch under "occupational therapy" you will get a lot of results. The two books we often in school were:Occupational Therapy for Physical Dysfunction by Mary Vining Radomski and Catherine A Trombly and Willard and Spackman's Occupational Therapy by Elizabeth Blesedell Crepeau, Ellen S. Cohn, and Barbara A. Boyt Schell. These were in addition to a pile of other books such as Human Anatomy and Physiology Books, Neuroanatomy Books, Seating and Positioning Books, Developmental Pediatric Books, Pediatric Occupational Therapy Books, the list goes on and on... I spent well over $3500 just on books while I was in OT school. The first semester alone was over $1600!

Sean Said:

what is a good book for assessing for wheelchairs in Occupational Therapy?

We Answered:

Sorry i am not sure I understand what you're asking for.

I have worked with disabled people for 33 years and don't know of any assessing books for wheelchairs.

although I am not an occupational therapist.

I would imagine you would need to assess the persons need in awheelchair and read up what wheelchairs are available then see if that meets the needs of the individual.

I hope this answers your question?

Anna Said:

can you help me to get some occupational therapy quotes good to put on a book mark?

We Answered:

One place to look would be the American Occupational Therapy Association website, especially the journal by P. Moyers. Or look on the site for your state's OT association.

Miriam Said:

Can anyone help me with information on Occupational Therapy?

We Answered:

I looked into doing OT (went for human biology in the end). You could try asking your local hospital OT department for some work experience even if it only a couple of days - this would give you an idea of OT in a hospital setting. Have you any idea which branch you would be interested in i.e. mental health, neurology etc? Whatever way you will cover them all in your training and basic grade rotation. All the best to you.
