Nelson Said:

Help! I can't decide on a career field or major!?

We Answered:

If you can deal with blood just enough to get through school I think nursing would be perfect for you! Nurses are needed in psych wards, and it is very unlikely that you would ever deal with blood there. (Unless a patient injured himself)
You would be able to combine your interest of medicine and psychology!
Hope that helps!

Ken Said:

What job do you think has the best prospects?

We Answered:

Did you know that nurses also work in Psych. You will have to deal with the blood through nursing school, but after that your interaction will be very limited you mostly give out meds and help to teach the patients coping skills on how to deal with their psych issues. But blood is not totally out of the picture so it just depends on if you can handle it on occassion.

You can job shadow, for a day or two, a psych nurse so that you can evaluate for yourself wether or not you will be able to handle the interaction. And yes, the pay is very good.
