Hi,I'm in an OT masters program now, and there are a handful of my classmates that do have young children. They are really busy, but manage to make sure their children are taken care of and still do well in school. Most of our classes are between 9 and 2:30 so it is when young ones are in school. Also, I know on occasion there are emergencies and professors are very understanding about them having to take care of situations involving their children. I go to the University of Illinois at Chicago.
OT masters programs are a lot of work. We have a TON of reading to do, many papers, projects, and other assignments. But it is manageable and enjoyable work.
Although, keep in mind that when you are out on fieldwork, you will be basically working a 9-5 job, so that may be a problem when it comes to taking care of your children.
