Occupational Therapy Masters Programs

Carla Said:

Occupational Therapy Masters Programs?

We Answered:

You don't say where you are,so your best bet is to go to the World Federation of OT's website (link below) where all the accredited OT schools in the world are listed and check them out one by one. You will likely need Anatomy and Physiology at least.
I'm sure that will help.

Richard Said:

What Undergraduate Classes should I take to prepare for a Masters in Occupational Therapy?

We Answered:

Why not do an undergraduate course in OT......this will automatically make u a candidate for Masters.

Josephine Said:

occupational therapy programs, Masters level?

We Answered:

Best programs: Boston University, Washington University in St. Louis, University of Southern California, UIC. Good program: Colorado State. Not even ranked: Governors State.

Acceptance is competitive based on your undergraduate GPA, GRE score, and preparation based on the courses you have taken as an undergrad. The better your GPA and GRE the more likely you are to be accepted. Actual application minimums for GPA and GRE are ridiculously low and certainly will not get you admitted to a really good school. The lower ranked the school the less competitive the admissions will be. Governors State should only be kept in the mix as a fall-back school. You can apply to multiple OT graduate programs through https://portal.otcas.org/

Joe Said:

How competitive is it to get into Occupational therapy (Master's) programs?

We Answered:

I am not exactly sure how compative but you must still take many of the same courses for PT. IT is still a graduate program. You save only a year. In the area of country, there are far more PT jobs than OT jobs but still there are jobs unlike many other non medical professional programs.
