Occupational Therapy Schools In California

Alma Said:

Dominican University of California Occupational Therapy?

We Answered:

I'm pretty sure you'll get in. You have a high enough GPA.They're pretty much just looking at GPA. It's a very demanding course. I wanted to go into it a semester ago but changed my mind. Looking at the schedule, yes it takes up a lot of time. There are field placements and they can be placed anywhere. You have to save up for those because they are 12 weeks and you have to pay for all the expenses out of pocket. Tuition doesn't pay for those. I think they're during the summer too. I talked to the chair and she said that a lot of people choose going to somewhere in Washington because they pay for room and board. So that would be good. I'm not sure about how hard the classes are, but I talked to some students and they seem to be very nice and like what they are doing. So, if you really like helping people with their daily lives, it's totally worth going for. The program does not have sooo many students, so you will be in a small environment, meaning it would be easier to ask the teacher questions.

In the future you will have a lot of job opportunities to pay off loans. Also, the job outlook is high. It is also a rewarding field.

I am considering moving to Canada, but I have no clue which parts of Canada I should look into....Please help!

We Answered:

Vancouver or any part of coastal BC including Vancouver Island. Lush and green it is, though keep in mind that's because we get a fair amount of rain. Summer, however, is usually pretty dry, but not really hot. Lots of mountains, and they're easy to get to. You can bike all year long if you don't mind getting wet sometimes. The interior parts of BC are colder in winter, very hot in summer, don't get a lot of rain, still have lots of mountains.
