Occupational Therapy Supplies

Andre Said:

Do you believe that the rising cost of healthcare is due to the uninsured?

We Answered:

Yes but only to a small degree.

In the past, 90 cents out of every premium dollar went to pay benefits, now it's about 75 cents.

Only in America do we make a profit off breast cancer.

'Money Driven Medicine', read it, a good book on the health care industry.

I'm having difficulties deciding between a career as a Radtech or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)...?

We Answered:

I don't know about OTA, but currently, the demand for rad techs isn't good. Of course I have no idea what it will be like by the time you graduate. You could also consider another area of radiology, like sonography, nuclear medicine, or radiation therapy. If you do choose rad tech, make sure that the school you choose is accredited, and find out what their first time registry pass rate is (the registry is the test you have to pass after graduation).

Just been diagnosed with BPD, devastated?

We Answered:

stop worrying, you don't have to any therapy that you don't want to have (unless you are sectioned under the mental health act at the present time) Or you could try this therapy out but insist on a different hospital as for you worrying about your colleagues finding out and treating you differently well , you have a point there because you should try and do everything to stop them finding out as you are right Nurses can be real b*tches talking about patients behind there backs they do it all the time and pretend all that stuff about treating people equally even if they have mental health issues , well real life doesn't work that way ( as you have have realised ) BUT you also have to realise that you are NOT obliged to declare that once you where in hospital or that once you where diagnosed with BPD on ANY forms whatsoever , you can go to uni get a job, you can do anything you want , you don't have to let people know about your past. (Unless it's one of those jobs like working with children or something like that) Just because once you where diagnosed with BPD does not mean it's like a disease your going to have for the rest of your life and you certainly cant pass it on to your children . It's time to move on now and stop worrying and look it's really not that bad, it's not the end of the world at all. In mental health terms BPD is like a drop in the ocean it's NOT a major mental health worry or a big issue So get out and follow your dreams just forget about it and stop declaring it on any forms you have to fill in as it serves no purpose and only reminds you of a bad time in your past.
