Occupational Therapy Uk

Hilda Said:

How much do Occupational Therapists earn in the USA?

We Answered:

We pay $180.00 per hour for my son . . . The therapist receives 50% of that and the clinic she uses receives the other half. She's an independent contractor (more like a vendor than an employee) so I'm not sure how much money she makes. She drives a $60,000.00 Audi so I would imagine she does well. You shouldn't have a problem getting a work visa . . . this is a growing field and you will be much in demand. I would check with our major children's hospitals to find out what they require . . .

Crystal Said:

Is it legal to have a relationship with a Occupational Therapy Support Worker?

We Answered:

It depends

If they started the relationship when she was no longer a patient of him or a minor then it's technically "ok".

But if the relationship started when she was a minor and/or a patient then it's illegal. Even if he doesn't go to jail, he can lose his license for having sex with a patient.

EDIT

First: "oral sex" IS "sex" and is defined in UK law as a "sexual act" and illegal if he was a therapist and she was under 18 (the age of consent of 16 don't apply to a therapist and his patient; if she was under 18 then it was illegal)

>>(4)A person guilty of an offence under this section, if the activity caused involved—
>>>>(a) penetration of B’s anus or vagina,
>>>>(b) penetration of B’s mouth with a person’s penis,
>>>>(c) penetration of a person’s anus or vagina with a part of B’s body or by B with anything else, or
>>>>(d) penetration of a person’s mouth with B’s penis,

Second: since he was her therapist at that time then he falls in to the "Abuse of Position of Trust"

>17 Abuse of position of trust: causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity
>>(1) A person aged 18 or over "A" commits an offence if—
>>>>(a) he intentionally causes or incites another person "B" to engage in an activity,
>>>>(b) the activity is sexual, (that include Oral Sex)
>>>>(c) "A" is in a position of trust in relation to "B", (therapist and patient for example)
>>>>(d)
>>>>(e)either—
>>>>>>>>(i) "B" (the victim) is under 18 and "A" (was supposed to kow it; since he was her therapist it's for sure tha he knew her age)

Jerry Said:

Does anyone know anything about rebound therapy? UK?

We Answered:

My nephew has it to help improve his balance, but i know that is has been shown to improve many things like Strengthening of the limbs, Communication,Patience, Co-ordination ,independence, Self-confidence, Muscle tone, Reaction speed, Stamina, Spacial awareness,Body awareness,
Social awareness, Increasing height and depth perception and just because it is fun.
I do not know a great deal about how it will help children with dyspraxia, but i do know that the small centre i work in for children with special needs (both physical and behavioural) think it is that good that they are building there own rebounding room

Discuss It!
