OTs can work with children. You can become a pediatric occupational therapist after you have completed so many hours working with children in the field and prepare a portfolio for review by the American Occupational Therapy Association (I am working on mine now). In early intervention, you can work in the child's home or daycare. You could also work in the school or outpatient clinic. There is a lot of choices of pediatric practice settings in the pediatric field. I work with kids, and have absolutely no desire to work with the adult population. I started working with kids right after graduation.
