Carole Said:

My mom doesn't believe that I can succeed in life.. really bringing me down?

We Answered:

Sometimes mothers are a bit difficult to live with, but you can find a great job even if you have a hard time with math, I hate math, I'm not terrible at it, I just don't like it, and I became an English teacher. If I were you, I'd go with a career, work hard and ignore your mother's disapproval.

Good luck

What can someone wanting to be an Occupational Therapist do in high school to get ready or impress colleges?

We Answered:

Baby Blue, this is Big Blue. Volunteering at a rehabilitation hospital or a nursing home in occupational therapy will be the most impressive to colleges as well as future employers. In addition, it will give you a data point that you do not currently have, that is, do you genuinely LIKE doing this kind of work. I am sure you will like it because you are making a positive impact on people, improving their lives. OT is very adaptive since every patient is different. Sometimes you have to think outside the box. Good luck with this excellent career!!
