What exactly is a occupational therapist?We Answered:
That really depends.. you can practice OT in quite a few different settings (such as schools, hosiptals, rehab centers, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home health care, etc), so the actual process may be different. You're still going to assess, evaluate, plan goals, etc, but doing that for a child is going to be far different from doing it for a senior citizen or paralyzed adult. If you want more specific information, I suggest you call your local healthcare facility or even look on job boards for a description. I didn't really realize what the field meant until I was in college studying psychology.Blessed Be
