Career Options For Pharmacists
Katie Said:
Best career option for a biotechnologist? We Answered:
On of the fastest growing areas for your field is agriculture. The world is searching for ways to increase food production through many different means. Pays fairly well and you get to feel good about helping others.I have heard that the pharmaceutical industry pays the best today. You might have to return for a PhD as entry level pay is not so great in this field.

What career is better for me?We Answered:
honestly none of them. You need math skills in all of the careers. Probably less math in PT, but certainly alot of math for pharmacist and physician assistant. I'm not sure about optometrist but I'm assuming so. Your high school grades do not matter when it comes to going to a graduate school to become one of those experts. Where they do matter is when trying to get into a 4 year college. Your Grades are borderline to get into a 4 year college.. No matter what when you are in college you cant get anything lower than a B and you really should get straight As in the prerequisites if you want to be competitive when applying to professional schools.Jon Said:
Can someone explain to me career options when joining the military? We Answered:
my suggestion is go talk to a recruiter and see what you qualify forRon Said:
How would a medical school look upon an applicant with a PharmD....negatively positively or with neutrality? ?We Answered:
Your best options to combine the two specialties would be in medical research. I am unsure if they will accept a PharmD in place of a BS/BA. I would think so, but I strongly recommend getting in touch with the aamc at aamc.org. Assuming that it is acceptable, I think that the fact that you have already accomplished a higher degree might slightly increase your competitiveness, provided that you can explain why you decided to quite your chosen career in favor of medicine, and assure your interviewer that you will not switch again.Alvin Said:

I started out as a biomedical engineer but quickly fell in love with medicine. It sounds like it'd be right up you alley though.
