Wow, I almost think we are the same person!! haha.

I started out college in pharmacy. I was actually admitted to pharmacy school straight from high school. The first year I got extremely scared. It's incredibly hard work and the pressure is SO unreal!! I was DEFINITELY not prepared for that right after high school!!!!

I transferred to a different school and was pre-med. After my performance in pharmacy school I didn't think any medical schools would find me anywhere near stellar. I decided I'd never make it in that field and it would be for my best interest to take myself a different route.

SO, this year, I transferred to business school. I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT!!! Do NOT do it!!! I think this was probably the biggest mistake of my life. You are a science person, obviously, do not resort to such an easy and 'generic' major. My classes are so EASY, this is the first semester I've had a 4.0 since high school, and sure, that's a great feeling. But am I challenged? NO. Am I actually getting an education? NO. I'm basically paying for a piece of paper with a few A's on it. I am not even kidding you, the beginning of the semester I decided I didn't have the money to get all of my books.....so I'm taking half of my classes without books.....I DON'T NEED THEM.

Business is pretty much a cop-out if you ask me.

You have so much more potential....please don't make the same mistake I did.

Right now I'm in the position of trying to figure out what major I should actually go with. I've spread myself around and I still am completely clueless. As an above poster suggested, I actually am considering nursing and going on to be a nurse practitioner....which is odd because I always swore I would NEVER be a nurse because they have some pretty nasty tasks, lol.

I don't know what you should really do....and I'm not going to tell you what direction to take. I can say now that I extremely regret the mistakes I made my first year in pharmacy school, and I am so jealous of my friends who are still there. They went through their white coat ceremony.....and I have nothing to show for my schooling.

Just please, please, please, do NOT go into business.

I may have just saved you a bunch of regret!! haha. At least I hope so.
