Cvs Pharmacy Jobs

Sheila Said:

Applying for a job at cvs pharmacy?

We Answered:

Those tests are written by people who don't live in reality, and example would be "Do you know someone who has ever stole something?" Yes, we probably all do, but the question is really asking "Do you associate with theives".

is a list of answers and the key to many of these pre-employment questions. I give these out to my clients when they need.

Is being a CVS Pharmacy Associate for $9.50/hr one of the worst jobs you could ever have at age 35 w/ a degree?

We Answered:

Honestly, all the CVS RX jobs pay little. I'm sure even the pharmacists don't make as much as other comparable positions.

As a Pharm Service Associate you usually just ring people up, help customers. Put drugs away etc.

Techs, Lead Techs, etc have all the responsibilities, dealing with idiot customers, the elderly whose dementia is so bad they don't even know where they are let alone what drugs they need...

Also the obvious, pill counting, data entry, inventory...and being the pharmacists personal slave.

So even taking the step up, more work, not much extra pay.

Honestly though, if you work at a quiet, easy going pharmacy, hold your head up until you find something else.

It probably could be worse for you, imagine working in a pharmacy, in a really poor town, a quarter mile from a homeless shelter, with half of the patients hopelessly addicted to Xanax and/or Vicodin....and 90% of the patients on Medicaid, who costantly remind you $1.10-$3 per script is ridiclous, healthcare should be free and all that junk...

cvs pharmacy job offer?

We Answered:

Kudos and congratulations! I am confused how they offered you a job without discussing salary?

You should call them back and just tell them you have a few questions you would like answered-

How much is starting pay?
How many hours a week?
What is the training? (This should include the class info)
Is there any benefits? Discount? Tuition assistance?

Your new Mgr or HR should have all of these answers and happily give them to you to welcome you to their team. Have fun!
