Hilda Said:

Can I be called Doctor John Doe if I have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree?

We Answered:

Yes. Once you receive a doctorate whether it be academic which is a PhD or professional like PharmD,MD, DDS, JD, AuD, PsyD, etc you will be referred to as Dr. so and so. At your graduation, they will say Dr. so and so when you want across the stage. That will be the proudest day of your life!! Good Luck.

What's the career difference between a 'Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree' and a 'Doctor of Pharmacy Degree'?

We Answered:

In the US you have to be a doctor to be a pharmacist. You get a bachelors and then you go to pharmacy school for 3-4 years. If you just get a bachelors degree in pharmacy (by the way, I've never heard of this), you'll just end up being a pharmacy tech making like $15/hour. But, to each his own.

Can you enter the University of Georgia Doctor of Pharmacy Degree Program Straight from High School?

We Answered:

No, but you can apply for admission once you have completed 60 hours of undergraduate studies. If you go full time, that is usually 2 full years.

Here is an excerpt from the web site, address below:

"To be admitted to the professional program in the College of Pharmacy, a student must complete pre-pharmacy requirements. At the University of Georgia, the pre-pharmacy program is administered through the College of Arts and Sciences. The two years of pre-pharmacy education require satisfactory completion of not less than 60 semester hours of academic work counting toward the pharmacy degree. In addition, students must meet the general requirement for physical education."

Physical education? I know many students who satisfied this requirement by taking a dance class.
