Hospital Pharmacist Jobs
Nicholas Said:
Is it really hard for a pharmacist to get a job IN a hospital? We Answered:
Hospitals are mostly looking for pharmacists with experience. Experience in different aspects of phamacy is also a HUGE plus. For example, two pharmacists apply for a job at the hospital. They have all the same education credentials. Pharmacist A has 10 years retail experience. Pharmacist B has 7 years retail experience and 3 years experience as a nuclear phamacist. Although they have the same amount of experience, Pharmacist B is probably more likely to be hired.
I am NOT saying that you would need 10 years of experience before you would be able to land a hospital job. Google "hospital pharmacist jobs in [your state]". Take a look at some of the educational and previous experience requirements to get a feel for what is expected.

I need more information on Hospital Pharmacist? We Answered:
I am a technician at a hospital pharmacy. You have to go to a pharmacy school for 6 years. Being a pharmacist is not easier it is as hard as becoming a physician. If you want to be a pharmacist for the money it is not worth it. Most of the pharmacist that I work with say if they had to do it over they would do something differentKatrina Said:
What do hospital pharmacists actually do?We Answered:
There are various career choices under the umbrella of "hospital pharmacist". These include clinical pharmacist, staff pharmacist, and outpatient pharmacist.Clinical pharmacists usually team with doctors to determine the drug and dosing regimen after a diagnosis has been made.
Staff pharmacists fill and check in-patient prescriptions and sometimes consult or do pharmacokinetics for dosing.
Outpatient pharmacists are similar to community pharmacists, but usually only deal with discharge medications.
Pharmacy as a whole is a good job (I'm about a year away from being a pharmacist in the US). You just have to choose which area of pharmacy interests you the most.

What are different types of job for pharmacist rather than work in hospital or retail? We Answered:
Mail order pharmacies are large operations that hire pharmacists to ensure compliance with prescriptions. It's also referred to wholesale pharmacy. Many insurance companies require use of these pharmacists. Also, insurance companies might use pharmacists in order to check the use of medicines by patients.Becky Said:
Application for job as pharmacist in hospital? We Answered:
I don't I understand that you may be having problems completing an application. Being a pharmacist, you have to get at least a doctorate degree in pharmacy. So this means you spend years in college – so I can I don't understand why you having problems completing an application. Are you talking about a cover letter?Basically you say you found the notice in the local newspaper (or whatever else), and you are interested in applying for the position because you "believe you are qualified" for the position.
Then you attach your resume with it and hopefully they will call you.
