A Pharmacist's is a highly paid well respected career for both male & females.

1. Human Biology & Chemistry and definite advantages, try to get as high qualifications in these as possible.

2. A typical word day in a pharmacist's is busy, you will need to give advice to the clueless, sort out and find subscriptions between hundreds of various products.

3. A hospital pharmacy definitely has the most employees but because of this, it may be the hardest to get into. Your best bet is to put your name down on a few of the community ones local to you.

4. The downsides are that you may get stressed due to the fact that its a busy job and you may not always be able to find the right stuff or give 100% accurate advice.

Make sure you have a passion for medicine, you need good communication and people skills plus the ability to work fast and properly under pressure or stress. You get the odd day where it will be quiet and you can stack shelves for hours but on average, you will get regular customers who come in for 50 boxes of something and 50 boxes of another, plus hundreds of people who come in for just every day stuff.

Best course for you is to have your own chemist shop as in pharma industry the salary level for a pharmacy graduate is extremely poor and so in hospitals.Even if you do M pharm its value is same. I suggest you to do MBA from a reputed institute in india that will have a good career value

Hi! I passed the BS Industrial Pharmacy of UP Manila. Should I go for it?

I'm not yet a UP student pero I'll answer your questions based on what I know about IP.

According to my mom, may kakilala siya from a pharmaceutical company na may friends na IP graduate from UPM. They are working na sa Australia and I think its a pharmaceutical company (if I'm not mistaken). He/she said that they are earning more or less 7M Php a year. So kung ako sa iyo, I'll take BS IP.

This is only my opinion regarding your status but the decision is still up to you. I'm just sharing my knowledge about the course.
