With your background, you could consider medical transcription, coding or billing. I was a medical transcriptionist working from home for 13 years.

Many transcriptionists get their training through a course of study while others carry their medical terminology knowledge with them from other health related fields. You would need to get the terminology down (most of which you probably have), and then get started. Many companies want experience so there's a catch-22. However, doctors and hospitals may be hiring, and after a time you can work from home as many transcriptionists do.

Most retail Pharmacists work very long hours, usually 12 hour days, and some hospital pharmacists work 7 days on, 7 days off (70 hours in the week on). Also, they don't just choose the right medicine for the patients. They compound the medicine, they have to make sure the script is legitimate, they have to check the patient profile for drug to drug interactions, they have to counsel the patient on their medication. Clinical Pharmacists make IV's and monitor patient progress over time, they also consult with physicians and nurses and make drug therapy recommendations. It also requires a 6 year degree and a valid state license.
