Look For Careers

Loretta Said:

What are some good careers to look into after high school?

We Answered:

Go into teaching! There are not enough quality teachers out there. There are many career advancements if you want to expand outside the classroom. You could teach for a while and move to more of the administrative aspect (principal or school board) or work in specific areas of need- like kids with disabilities or if you are really into education, you could eventually work your way to teaching higher education courses!

Definitely consider the teaching field. The pay is not as bad as the mass population makes it out to be. There are many programs being tested across the nation on how to give individual teachers compensation for being outstanding.

Look into it!

Many perks to the job!
Paid summers and government holidays
Hours working are a plus
Job security after the probationary period is passed
You can move anywhere and have a job
Yearly salary increases

And that's just at the public system level. It gets better with some private school and higher education systems.

What are good careers to look into that pay well?

Engineering. It's a tough major, but engineers are high in demand and the job pays well. Studying to become a nurse/doctor is also a good idea since they are in very high demand.

Margaret Said:

What is good website in which i can look at careers that are good for me?

We Answered:

My suggestion is to take some time and see what your likes and dislikes are. Do you like to work with your hands(Blue Collar Work) or are you more of a person who likes to work with their mind(White Collar Work). It doesn't hurt to have a college degree because of this day in this economy. A website isn't going to be much help it is what you like. All the website can tell you is if you are going to pick an occupation. What the future outlook is going to hold for a particular career and they may give you some insight on what the work environment maybe like. The other thing I would do is talk to people that are working in different fields and you can decide which path in life to take.
