Make Pharmacy Your Career

How much money do pharmacy technicians make in the state of california? We Answered:
..... quite a lot, they do not like to discuss it in public.Laura Said:
What career what about pharmacy 10 points PLEASE PLEASE?We Answered:
I HIGHLY recommend that you do not go into pharmacy. Because pharmacy is such a high paying job, especially in the US, a lot of people are pursuing it. However, there are just not enough spots for all the people who want the job. There are thousands of people ahead of you in line already. However if you really want to pursue this career, go ahead. Just be prepared for the worst.Other careers:
-architecture (most people don't realize that you must be extremely mathematically inclined!)
-Actuary. Math job, usually pays about 80K
-biotech. currently fastest growing field!
-mechanical engineering (harder to work your way up, but can lead to a lot of money)
I don't suggest a career based soley on the money, you will learn this in time. You need to love your job because it is very difficult to change your job after you go to school for it. When you find something that interests you, you should go for it.

Is a career in pharmacy worth it?We Answered:
you'd be bored to death.Jonathan Said:
Engineering or Pharmacy? Which career path should I choose? We Answered:
Are you equally interested in both fields? What factors are important to you when you imagine working in a particular field? How much money would you like to earn? These are a few questions to consider as you contemplate career paths. If you'd like to compare your options, there's a tool online where you can type in a job title, see the career path for that job and the salaries for related job titles. It is at http://www.payscale.com/gigzig.aspx I've included links below showing what I found when I typed in Structural Engineer and Pharmacist.
Hope that helps,

Pharmacist Career. Parmacists and Pharmacy students please help.?We Answered:
Hi, I'm a pharmacist. It takes about 8 years of full time college to become a pharmacist. This usually involves getting an BS in Chemistry or Biology and then applying to pharmacy school. Prereqs usually can't be obtained at community college unless the college has an in depth chemistry program. Generally, chemistry must be your best subject. Working in a pharmacy really doesn't prepare you for pharmacy school because school is all about more chemistry, and learning about the chemical reactions that explain how drugs work. It's hard to describe the curriculum but it has nothing to do with learning how to work in a pharmacy. School is pretty hard it's full time and requires a lot of lab time and study time. It would be very hard to work more than part time. In addition, you must have a very high GPA (around 3.7 or more) and do well on the PCAT (pharmacy college admission test) to be accepted into a pharmacy program. And after graduation pass a licensing exam. But if you perservere, you will make pretty good money. In California, the pay rate is about 62/hr right out of school. Everyone pretty much makes the same salary.
It's not for everyone but I love my job. And, pharmacists are not treated like royalty.
We are generally respected for our knowledge but most people don't know anything about the schooling required to become a pharmacist.
