I'm going to a community college to prepare for the PTCB exam. I should be done in may but I am already working as a 'tech in training'. I love my job and couldn't be happier!!

Right now, it is very hard to get a full time tech job because most pharmacies are cutting tech hours drastically. Most Techs do not have any formal education. Most are trained on the job. The average salary for a Tech is $13 per hour.

We Answered:

You would think they wouldn't have any reason to be upset. I know a few and they were looking for "fresh faces" and stated that out of all the people in the country how could he not find someone else besides the ones he got. But they had only a few choices themselves.

I tried to explain that George Soros was Bill Clinton's man and they thought I was insane, but not now. Anyway "we will see". Take care.

I am a certified pharmacy tech in south florida. I have been a tech for about 10 years.I did't go to any career school but I did take the exam to become certified. I really like what I am doing, and it pays me good. There are many career schools that offer courses, and also certain jobs may make you take a course in this field. So if you are intrested you would just have to apply or ask what the place requires for you to get the postion. That is how I started. Good Luck
