They usually dont hire until 17. They do make exceptions. If alcohol is to be rung up they will get someone older to do it.

Very high stress and very low pay. I had one guy hit me with his wallet, another called me a raciest. One day a woman came up to me and was grilling me over something the pharmacist did wrong and then she realized that I knew her very well and she knew me. She was very embarrassed, but when you are a tech you will be dealing with the worst of the worst and you are there to take care of them for the pharmacist so he does not have to stop verifying prescriptions.

Most of the time people come up to the counter ready to fight for their meds if they have to. And more than willing to take your face off if they need to.

kind of depends on what you are studying at college, as to what field you would benefit from working in

if you are studying business, try get a job as a receptionist, in a call centre, or in a bank (but banks aren't likely to hire you)

if you are studying science, start looking around for a lab assistant sort of job. it would probably be mostly cleaning at first but when they figured out you were reliable you would probably get some good stuff

and so on...

if you are studying education, think back to what you were good at when you were at school and start tutoring it.

i think you should just listen to your heart. i am 20 years old and im 33 weeks pregnant. im barely in my first year of college and thought about abortion but couldn't do it and i know i would not be able to give it away. well at about 5 months i lost my job and my partner did to. we are still deciding to keep it with help from family and as soon as the baby is born im hoping to get a job. but deep down i know whatever happens me and my partner would figure it out. its all up to you but just think really hard about what you want and picture your life in a couple of years with a baby and without a baby and see which one you will regret later on. i know with me, i know its gonna be hard but i couldn't imagine giving this baby up inside me. i haven't even see him yet and i love him so much and i know im gonna work my butt off to make sure he gets everything he needs. hope i help.
