Dwayne Said:

How can I pass the PTCE exam to become a pharmacy tech is www.quicktestprep.com a scam?

We Answered:

Some tech schools are very expensive, and I would agree that it is probably more than it is worth. QuickTest Prep is run by a pharmacist, Tom is his name I think. I have emailed him before. It is done mostly online and he will teach you how to be a pharmacy technician. The first thing you need to do (if you haven't already) is make sure you are meeting your state's pharmacy technician requirements. I have summarized this by state for free at: http://www.pharmacytechnicianhq.com/. Tom runs this out of Nevada and your state may or may not require an approved program. (I live in a state that requires a pharmacy board approved program, so techs here cannot do QuickTespPrep). In addition to QuickTestPrep, I would look at a completely online program called Career Step that you can do at your own pace and at 1/10th the cost of a tech program. If your state does not require a training program, consider picking up a good PTCB study guide and get your PTCB and you should be good to go there. I have a few recommended study guides on the site, and one is only $30 and is a money back guarantee.

Here is the other thing, when (I like to stay positive) you get into pharmacy school, you will be a pharmacy intern and be able to work in a pharmacy then. Are you you sure you want to spin your wheels now obtaining your tech registration? I personally think it will help you get into pharmacy school, but it may slow you down. In either case, best of luck.

PLEASE HELP!! Advisors of PHARM SCHOOL GRADS OR STUDENTS?

We Answered:

Out of state schools are extremely hard to get in with such GPA. My best advice for u is to major in whatever you want ( the subject that u are really intersted in maybe that u could get good grades). Just make sure to take all the pre req classes for pharm school.

P/s: ever thinking of anything else besides pharmacy school?
