how to become a registered licensure pharmacist in US.Idid my graduation in india.can anybody help me ?We Answered:
If you graduated after January 2003, a minimum of a 5 year degree is needed. The standard Indian B.S. Pharm is not acceptable for those who graduated after January 2003.First, if you have an acceptable degree, you'll have to take the FPGEE and TOEFL exams. If you pass, they you'll have to intern for certain number of hours. Once those hours are achieved, you can then take the NaPLEX and MPJE. Pass those, and you can work as a U.S. pharmacist. You'll have to look up your state board of pharmacy for specific requirements.

I am a graduated pharmacist from India and doing my masters in New York. Am I eligible for taking NAPLEX?We Answered:
You picked a difficult State to work in. New York requires that to get a license in the state you have to be a citizen. If you are great! If not you can always get your license in a state closer to NY until you get your citizenship. As a foreign graduate the first step is passing the FPGEE and after that the TOEFL and also the NAPLEX. The last step is passing the MPJE (also called the Law test) that is specific for the state where you are applying for the license. Not easy right? With determination you can do it.
About salaries that is hard to say. If you want to work in a retail pharmacy we will probably be talking about 120K a year but if you want to work in a hospital between 90K and 110K a year depending in the state you are working.
I hope this was helpful!

Hi i am going to school to become a pharmacist....?We Answered:
what are my chances of getting a job in India? Very good, provided you speak the languageBeing bilingual pays a lot. But let me make it clear: you'll NEVER make as much money as if you stayed in the US. Therefore, this would be my recommendation: get your degree, get a job in the Indian community and stay in the US if possible. If not, please check with your government before you move back (you may have to take the professional exam there).
Good luck!
