Heather Said:

I am not getting a job of my profession.?

We Answered:

You are in a bit of rut, I have to say.

This whole country has gone to pot, I was unemployed for a year before I found a part-time job. Having said that, I am an under-graduate. For someone with qualifications/experience like you it shouyld be much easier. Having said that, nowadays, you can't guarantee a thing.

Can you try working for a big Pharmeceutical company, not just selling/sorting them etc, but actually researching and so on? Unless that is what you already do :)

Jeff Said:

is he stressed or wanting our relationship to end?

We Answered:

I was in a very similar situation. So I'm gonna be a bit one-sided on this. I think that he wants to break up but doesn't want to hurt you, or possibly he wants a break up, but still has feelings for you. If he continues to bring up or suggest the possibility of a break up, it's definitely something that's close to mind. It looks to me as if he's trying to subtly give reasons for you to break up with him so he doesn't have to do the dirty work. There are many possibilities though, so keep your mind open, but at the same time watch out for the signs. If anything, I think you need to have a real talk, open your feelings to him and maybe he can give you some reassurance. I understand that he may be under stress, but you are his girlfriend and your concerns/feelings should be a priority to him as well.

US Air Force officer at Hanscom. Where should I PCS to: Eielson, Lakenheath or Ramstein?

We Answered:

Hello Officer Adam,

Are you a Lieutenant or a Captain?

It would help to know your AF job and your wife's citizenship status, her country.

Do you plan on remaining in the Air Force beyond your ETS? If so, they take the assignment in Europe. You can always go to Alaska anytime.

I would go to England first and then go for COT (consecutive overseas tour) to Germany. That way you can remain overseas for 6 years and make Major first time up because the job positions overseas are usually more responsible than stateside jobs. Usually or sometimes a person will work in a job that requires a higher ranking position and that is good for the career Officer and NCO performance reports.

Also, overseas bases are more world-wide mission involved than stateside bases where sometimes it gets so routine that you lose track of being IN the Air Force.

Basically, your wife should not have to work as your officer's salary is usually sufficient to support the family.

You may contact me by e-mail to discuss more.

Best wishes,

Larry Smith
