I'm currently a work@home pharmacist with Medco. There's 2 types really. Regional Formulary Pharmacists (which is what I am) where you basically call doctors and bug them to change whats on formulary or Mail Order Patient Acquistion pharmacists. Been doing it for over a year and yes its very nice to work at home in the pajamas with some freedom, but its still a regular job. I still work retail part time to get out there and see the patients and keep up to date on drug release and such.
I know people that absolutely love it and have been doing it since the program first started over 2 years ago and those that are on the fence about it (me being one of them).
Never hurts to try anything though to see if you like it.

How do I work part time/full time from home as a pharmacist? We Answered:
Hook up with an institutional pharmacy. Sell them on the idea of providing a service where doctor's can ask questions on line. Then you provide a real time response. Hook a camera & voice up to your computer, and speak face to face with the doctor.Melissa Said:

Should I leave my wife because she can no longer arouse me?We Answered:
You have a lot of nerve calling another woman's husband a "lout" because he lies and gets drunk. You are cheating on your wife, so yeah, you are the real lout. She didn't force you into having an affair. Your attempts to gain sympathy are pathetic. You deserve all the blame you get. Maybe your wife does deserve some blame, but not for your mistakes; she should have taken better care of herself, but that does not excuse your adultery. It was completely and entirely your own choice. You are putting your own happiness before your sacred vows which were made before God. You and your wife have both made mistakes, but you can't use her mistake to justify your mistake. You say that she "forced" you to sneak around and cheat on her? Well, maybe by putting all this pressure on her to lose weight, you forced her to get stressed out and gain more weight. No matter how much you try to make your mistake her fault, it will still be your fault, because you could have decided to put your vows first and not cheat. Other men do that, so you can, too. You will reap what you sow.Louise Said:

Pharmacist looking for a job?We Answered:
You cannot use your degree to work as a pharmacist, unless you go through the process to be licensed. If you graduated before January 2003, you'll need a 4 year degree, and if you graduated after, you'll need a 5 year degree. It can take several years for an international grad to get licensed. Most pharmacies are cutting tech hours a lot. Pharm techs do not get paid much. Their average salary is $13 per hour.

''what kind of opportunities are out there for a pharmacist interested in working from home ?We Answered:
Check out remote order entry for small hospitals through Cardinal Health Care or Night Watch Pharmacy. I was looking at doing a 7-on-7off night shift job until I took another position at a hospital. The remote order entry thing is attractive to small hospitals that can't afford to hire a night shift pharmacist. The state boards are starting to require a pharmacist review of all orders before dispensing. So, the remote order entry thing is starting to take off. you sit at home in front of your PC and 4 computer screens and enter orders for several hospitals through a secure internet connection. One screen is an order queue, another screen is an entry screen, another screen is an image of the physician order, and the 4th screen is an e-mail screen to communicate with the nurses from the hospitals. if you want more info, send me an e-mail and I will connect you with a company out of Beckly, WV that has an operation going right now. DavidEdit: I checked out the link from the second answerer, Vladimir and it looks like some sort of scam. Be careful. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is a rip off.
