Pharmacy As A Career

Rachel Said:

What can you tell me about Pharmacy as a career?

We Answered:

Yes. Chemistry but you will need to be proficient in all the other sciences. A tech will only require a fe years of college a pharmacist will require a college degree plus several more years of college. And you will need to know how to put a medicine bottle in a typewriter.LOL! It appears to be a dull job but you will always have work and the pay is excellent.

Edgar Said:

Pharmacists, why did you choose pharmacy as your career?

Pharmacy as career? Can I make it?

We Answered:

I assure you, you will make a great pharmacist. 3.8 GPA or above is almost every students dream. As long as you work hard, and look forward to the future, you will do fine. Pharmacy School is always a little rough for everyone. But if you set your mind to it, you will be successful.

You will have a great future :)

Alice Said:

Is choosing pharmacy as a career bad for right out of high school?

We Answered:

You do not have pharmacy as a choice out of high school. You need a Bachelors degree first although some schools may offer a pre-pharmacy program./

Pharmacy as a career?

We Answered:

Pharmacy - one of the highest paying careers with the lowest investment in education.
You've chosen well.
There is one small downside you need to know.
You may find yourself with an extremely high first paying job - say 90,000/year.
BUT, you will not progress much.
Pharmacy is a slow progression profession, not much chance for improvement.

Just so you know - great pay (actually excellent pay) in the beginning, but not much chance for moving up.
Just expect normal raises.
Hope you don't take me wrong - its the truth.

Joan Said:

What is a good gift for a college graduate pursuing pharmacy as a career? $150-$250 price range. Please help

We Answered:

I dont really think that the education program should have to do with the gift. My good friend just got accepted into pharmacy school and i wouldnt give him something pharmacy related as a gift. Maybe an ipod, cds, gift cards, cash, concert tickets (always a good choice)....something he/she can enjoy.
