Pharmacy As Career
Jack Said:
i need info on pharmacy as a major and a career!! please read!!?We Answered:
Only the 6 year pharmacy schools have high drop out rates. At my college, about 95% will graduate. I doubt 2/3 of the class drops out because the accreditation board would not stand for it and would put the program on probation. From what I have heard about the 6 year programs about a quarter to a third will drop out, and for 4 year programs less than 10% will drop out.For the 6 year programs, you apply during your senior year of high school. For the 4 year programs, you apply in college. You'll have to take the PCAT for most schools. The acceptance rates are higher at the 6 year schools than the 4 year schools. My 4 year school has an acceptance rate of 10%. You'll need a GPA in the mid 3s and PCAT score above 75 to be competitive.
The average starting salary in the U.S. is a hair above 100k.
