Pharmacy Jobs In Texas

Donna Said:

This is for Texas Residents and College Students: are your colleges and universities going downhill?

We Answered:

You may not be blasting immigrants, but you are blasting some. Texans, white people, student. This is an ignorant post populated with untrue stereotypes.

As opposed to a page long rant, why not just ask a question and leave it at that? Instead of misaligned finger pointing, why not just keep it short and sweet?

Andrew Said:

pharmacy school?

We Answered:

Working as a pharm tech won't hurt you, but it won't exactly help you a great deal.

Troy Said:

How do I register as a certified pharmacy technician?

We Answered:

The next thing you need to do is go to the Texas Board of Pharmacy website and fill out the application, pay $50 for a background check, get fingerprinted and you'll be on your way. Either way, it will tell you all about how to do it at the website. Here is that site:

What can I do with an associate degree in Pre Pharmacy?

We Answered:

Information is below.

Mathew Said:

Parents are going to be thoroughly pissed off?

We Answered:

Your approach to your parents is included in your second paragraph. Invite your parents to spend a week with you up North... a break from Texas heat in the summer might be a welcome change. Good luck in solving this problem. Also, good luck as you pursue your career.

Salvador Said:

What would you do in this situation?

We Answered:

Free schooling. Trust me on this one. I'm 30 and married, and my biggest regret is that I didn't get a college degree. I've had 4 different full time jobs since the age of 20, and none of them have paid well. If I had it to do again, I would go back to school immediately.

Adrian Said:

Are you a Pharmacy Technician? Do you enjoy your work?

We Answered:

Pharmacy techs do not get paid much. The highest I ever heard a regular pharm tech getting paid is about $12-$13 per hour and at a busy pharmacy are always busy. The only type of advancing you can do is to become a senior tech or a certified tech. You will never be able to get into management. Techs get stuck doing all the grunt work. They are vulnerable to losing their jobs if the technology changes. Many techs have to work evenings and weekends.
