To be a pharmacist you'd be required to know some of the stuff a pharmacy tech would need to know.
Although you now need certification to work as a pharmacy tech in some pharmacies, you can probably look around and see if there are any pharmacies that do not require the certification. Then talk with the pharmacist and learn more about pharmacy as a career
Pharmacy tech education is not crazy expensive if you compare it to the tuition for pharmacy school
To be a pharmacy tech, you don't have to be "smart", but should have a fairly good grasp on simple maths and a lot of attention to detail

I don't know which one pays more, but I think either one is a good career to have. I also believe that it's wrong to think that pharmacy is an outdated profession. Yes, medicine is mass produced these days instead of being made in the back room, but there are thousands more medications available now than in the ancient days. Would you trust just anyone off the street to read and understand what the doctor prescribed, and fill your prescriptions correctly? That is what pharmacy techs do, besides other clerical tasks. Pharmacists rely on techs to do this work and they just have to double check. This frees them up to perform other duties that by law (and training) only pharmacists can do.

Whichever career you choose, remember that the more you put into it, the more you will get out of it. Become as knowledgeable about your job as you can, keep up with the new information, and you will be a valuable employee and be rewarded accordingly. Good luck!

u need to go to where there's a hospital & ask what the requirements r for being an ultrasound tech & then go to where u would have to sign up & ask questions about how many hours of schooling is required & how much the course will cost u & also u could fill out a job application at the places u would want to work at & that way when u r done with the school u could start working at the place that hires you & it would be on your job application that u r going to school for that job & i think that would be a plus for u as far as filling out the job application cuz they would know that u r very serious about working as an ultrasound technician & they could train u the way they want to right from the start. good luck & i hope i was helpful with your question.
