Pharmacy Technician Program

Does anybody know anything about a Pharmacy Technician program? We Answered:
There are online options as well as taking a traditional class. Since it is online, you can take it no matter where you are and no matter what time of day it is! 2-3 months is a good time estimate if you can devote a lot of time to your studies. Like full-time. Here is a demo of an online course that you can take so you can see how it would be like to take a course online as well as what material is covered. This particular school has many different financing options if that is an issue.good luck!

How long is the pharmacy technician program at everest college in illinois? We Answered:
Sometimes if you can find a job as a pharmacy technician before getting any training or experience, the company will pay to train you. That is probably your best bet. I don't think community college programs like that will really help you in the long run. Try applying for jobs at big chain pharmacies like Walgreens or CVS. If they hire you, they will train you on the job and even pay for you to take classes to become a Certified Technician. You will make the same amount of money, if not more, on the job than if you have taken classes yourself because now the company knows you were trained in the way they want their Techs trained.Loretta Said:
If I recieved a technical certification in the pharmacy technician program at a Community college in Mem TN?We Answered:
If you can continue studyng, since you don't get a certificate until 2009, I think that's a long time and you may forget. Try to see if you can find a job in a pharmacy even if they pay you low. That a very demanding job, in that way you are practicing and learning. You can also try to study medical assistant in line which is a very good combination and is fun. I took one for six month. Also I would suggest to ask the school if you can continue studyng since is a long time and you may forget. Keep all the book handy and try to learn as much as you can about pharmacy. I would like to know why it will take so long to give you the certificate.? I would suggestt to get in touch with them (school.) If you need to take other certification the school should be able to answer that. But if you can keep studyng the more chances you have to get a job. I live in California and I don't know what the law in TN. But I know here anything that have to do with medical are job that are in demanding. Let me know what happen. Good luckRuby Said:
Does anyone know a good Pharmacy Technician Program in San Antonio, Texas? We Answered:
don't spend all that money to get certified, the exam is not that hard. Just get some books on the subject and study for a couple months. I got trained when I was in San Antonio, but that was through the Army at Ft. Sam Houston, and I wasn't really necessary for passing the test as long as you have some good study habits.Gerald Said:
What do you think of pharmacy technician program? We Answered:
Honestly? I'm not too particular with people charging you for something that you can well learn on your own. You've been to college, I'm sure that you'll catch on right away. There are still some places that hire people who have not "graduated" from a program. You can try doing what I did. Get on-the-job training, get certified and work on your skill level from there. It's really an easy job once you get the hang of it. It's just intimdating at first because there seems to be so many things that you need to learn. Don't fret. It's do-able ;)Tamara Said:
Any suggestion about pharmacy technician program? We Answered:
Career Step is an online pharmacy tech school. They have a great course and they have been training people in the medical industry for over 17 years. They have a demo of their course online so you can see what the course is like before you enroll. I have provided the link to the demo/course preview below if you want to look at it. Their course is really tough- especially the final exam. It seems like it is harder than the certification exam! But that is a good thing because you know that you have been trained very well and you know that you are prepared for the job!It is a self paced program which means you work on it when you want to- day or night. So it could take you anywhere from 3-4 months to a year to complete. It depends on the amount of time you devote to the program. Obviously it will take you a shorter amount of time if you work on it full-time vs just a few hours a week. There are student forums that you can use to ask questions or they even have a hotline you can call for help. Overall, they are a really great school and you can take their course from anywhere you have an internet connection.
Good luck in your search!
