Most pharmacies (besides Wal-mart) require you to have certification. You may want to ask around first to see what the job is like. I worked as a tech for 3 years at a high volume pharmacy and hated it. The customers will deny any personal responsibility, blame everything on you and expect more than you can offer. Pharmacists you work with will most likely possess a "worthier than thou" attitude and rarely do any sort of actual work. You WILL be the go-to person and expected to do almost all of the work. The only reason I stayed was for the pay, $11.60/hr. This is appreciably higher than other employers in the area would have paid a college kid like me. Being a pharmacist (again, depending on the location) is ridiculously awesome, but being a tech. is not.

Yes, you can work as a pharmacy technician prior to getting your PharmD. Almost anyone can work as a pharmacy technician as long as get licensed as a pharmacy technician, which you don't need any degree to obtain. High school students can be pharmacy technicians.

There's no law against it or anything. You need to just ask both stores if they are okay with it, since it will affect what shifts you take if you have more than one job, but they should be fine with it.

Are you limited from working off campus because you need a visa? Please verify the work rules. If you can work off campus with your student visa status try working in any local pharmacy or hospital pharmacy. If you cannot work legally for pay then volunteer!
