Roles Of A Pharmacist

Sherri Said:

What can the pharmacist do about medicines that are sold at discounted price?(eg. buy 2 for the price of 1)?

We Answered:

???

this is why there are prescriptions... and low prices dont mean people are going to go crazy and overdose on drugs...

Andy Said:

I need help with my nurse teaching plan?

We Answered:

you couldn't be more wrong. The pharmacist talks to you patient before they go home. They make sure that they know what the medicine is for, side effects/interactions, and if follow-up is needed.

Adrian Said:

if any body is from costa rica or gos there could u please tell me about the country!?

We Answered:

I traveled to Costa Rica last year. I loved the country. We stayed in a small town that had public transportation and taxi's to get around. The roads are very primitive and wind through the mountains. Where we stayed the main tourist attraction was eco-tourism. We hiked the mountains, swam in the warm Caribbean ocean, frolicked in the black sand. The money ratio is pretty good and living there was very cheap. We stayed one night at the lodge of the BriBri Indian tribe. When the sun went down you were surrounded by the sounds of the jungle. Wonderful people, we shared meals with them and played with their very well behaved kids. The live simply off the land and are self sufficient. The kids do have chores feeding the animals etc. They hike down the road each day from the mountain to attend school. Everyone in the family works and lives together. There was one small clinic in the town but it was rarely opened. Fortunately we didn't need to use it. Not sure of the role of the pharmacist as the town one had quit before we arrived, and the pharmacy was not open. The food is rice and beans. Where we stayed there was a large amount of Caribbean influence in the food. The rice and beans were sometimes cooked with coconut milk. Yummy. Because we were on the coast we ate fresh fish caught daily. The fruit was also very fresh. Hope this helps you out, if you ever get a Chance go there.

Carol Said:

If I am being asked what is the purpose of ...........?

We Answered:

I'd mention accuracy, service, consistent high quality, medication, & answering customer's questions. Customer- or client-oriented is a good buzzword lately, too.

May add communicating and working with doctor/nurse practitioner to provide best patient care.
