Marion Said:

Can an Indian pharmacist work in Canada as an Assistant Pharmacist?

We Answered:

No. The majority of the Assistants working in the Pharmacies in Canada are actually Pharmacists who cannot get the position they are seeking, or individuals about to take their exam. They work as Assistants until they can be promoted.

Eugene Said:

Work as a pharmacist in order to pay off med school?

We Answered:

i have heard of it.
my uncle was a pharmacist (back then a pharmacist was hired after they had four years of education and majored in pharm chem) then continued to work his way to become a docotor.
now you go either way.
to become a pharmacist now takes at least 6 years. (four years undergrad... and then how ever many years it takes for you to graduate from graduate school)
so i would say now its rahter impossible......

Nicole Said:

I AM BANGLADESHI PHARMACIST ,AS I AM WORKING AS A PHARMACIST IN NARSINGDI,BANGLADESH ,HOW CAN I GET A CHANCE?

We Answered:

Your educational requirements for pharmacist in Bangladesh are not the same, or comparable, to requirements for a pharmacist in US. You would not be eligible to sit for the board exams in any state. Furthermore, your Bangladeshi qualifications are unlikely to meet requirements of countries like Canada, UK, Australia, etc.

If you met immigration requirements, and could eventually immigrate (could take 10 years or more before you are allowed to enter), you would have to go back to university for 5 years, get the appropriate degree, and then if you passed the boards, you could get a job at a drug store chain at wages that will take 10 years or more to earn what university cost. You probably could not survive in a high-cost, high-tax country under these conditions.

Bangladesh needs pharmacists, and you probably make a great living there by your country's standards. Stay there.

Frederick Said:

I am a Registered pharmacist in us and working as pharmacist in us,And I want to be a Phaysician,What can I do?

We Answered:

You're not going to make it if this is the state of your knowledge.

Incidentally, a Pharmacy license plus a PA license would be perfect combination.
