Monica Said:

Who is the elitist Obama or McCain?

We Answered:

McCain is definitely an elitist. He is also smug and arrogant.

Vote Obama/Biden!!!

Does anyone have Posterior shoulder instability or know of it?

We Answered:

the ligaments holding your shoulder in place are already lax and ligaments don't tighten so the only thing you can do it strengthen the muscles around the shoulder (especially infraspinatus and teres minor-do external rotation exercises) to support the joint and keep the humeral head in place.

you also may need neuromuscular training so you learn to activate these muscles in order to keep the joint stable during movement

I am kinda a medical mystery...?

We Answered:

Hi - I'm sorry for all your health problems and 'medical mysteries'. You remind me of myself - I am forevever giving my doctors soemthing new to think about.

As far as your stomach and eating problems go, have you ever had a gastric emptying study done? This measures the rate at which food material leaves your stomach. The symptoms you describe sound very much like gastroparesis (GP) or delayed stomach emptying. A scope is also a good idea as it could rule out any obvious visible cause within your stomach that would explain your symptoms.

I have GP and can only eat small meals of soft foods or I throw up. Eating soft meals is one way to manage it, but if it's GP causing your problems, there are medications that can help.

As far as your knees go - I can't imagine why they did blood work for RSD/CRPS - there IS no blood test for this. Maybe for RA or lupus? Do you have any other symptoms of CRPS? (oedema, colour/temperature change, skin changes, etc.)? Do you see a physio? Might also be worth seeing some sort of pain management specialist to see if they can explore your pain problems further. I've got very severe RSD/CRPS in my whole body, so my heart goes out to anyone in pain - especially someone as young as you...mine first developed at 14, so I know something of what you're going through.

I need to lose some weight, any ideas?

We Answered:

I was a gymnast way back in the dark ages, I know what you mean. Swimming is the absolute best thing you can do to get back in shape and since the water carries you, it's much lower impact than anything you can do out of water. Not only that, a lot of physical therapy can be done in water so you can get fit in multiple ways.

Dave Said:

Is this a good idea for a career?

We Answered:

It's possible but you would have to save up first, starting a business is hard work and expensive to set up.
It's easy to talk about such things but it takes a massive commitment and a lot of effort, I imagine if you want to own your own dance studio you may have to work for a long time to get the money to build it.
As I say it's possible but you'll have to be prepared to work hard and be patient.
