Even though I'm not a pta, I have heard that it's supposed to be quite a physical job as well as emotionally taxing albeit very rewarding at being able to help increase one's quality of life. Prospective students are usually required to have taken physics in addition to other science courses such as anatomy and physiology (Not 'human anatomy' as that doesn't transfer) and chemistry.
