We Answered:

I'm not sure of the rate specific to Texas, but a 2005 survey (yes, I know it's 3 years old now) found that the vast majority of PTAs were earning between $30-45,000 a year.

Lisa Said:

how much does a physical therapy assistant make to start on average?

We Answered:

Not sure how much the starting salary is, but most PTAs are earning between $40-50,000...so $35,000 sounds about right.

Alexander Said:

How much does a licensed physical therapy assistant make and are they offered any bonuses throughout the year?

We Answered:

national average salary is about $45,000 for a PTA. Bonuses are not likely although sometimes profit sharing is. If you work for a private company and the company does well that year, sometime you may get a part of that...but this is quite rare.
