What is the job like for doing physical therapy?We Answered:
I am a physical therapist. The current training is gennerally a clinical doctorate called a DPT. It will take you about 6-7 years in total. The training is pretty intense. You become an expert in a field that treats people from birth on, that treats the musculoskeletal system, neurological system, cardiopulmonary system and the integument system. Areas of specialites includes pediatrics, geriatrics, sports, ortho, acute care, wound care, womens health, lymphadema, electromyography, and neuro. PTs can work in hospitals, nursing homes, rehab facilites, homecare, private or public schools, industries, and dme/medical sales. It's immoral to try and collect further compensation for an injury which no longer requires it. It's also illegal.Don't push it. She got better, that's that.
