Hector Said:

Is there a online nationally accredited school where i can use a pell grant to pay for a online degree?

We Answered:

Western Governors University is one... www.wgu.edu

Alfredo Said:

i want to be a physical therapy aide but...?

We Answered:

Find out what your state requires for licensure. That is what is most important. If you are not required to participate in an clinical internship, then this is not a good program.

I am assuming you mean physical therapy assistant, right? An aide or tech generally don't require a degree.

Caroline Said:

what schools near/in sacramento, CA still offer a bachelor in physical therapy?

We Answered:

By 2002, all PT programs were converted to either MS or DPT...sorry...by 2020, all are expected to be DPT

Jimmie Said:

online degrees are thery real ?

We Answered:

You cannot complete this degree online. You must go to an accredited PTA program. The list of all the accredited programs are available at www.apta.org. You can obtain a certificate to be an aide...but in reality, you dont' need any formal training to be an aide.

Sidney Said:

I want to take admission is Physical Therapy.?

We Answered:

Physical therapy school requires a bachelors degree to get in and then an additional 3 years of graduate school work for your DPT. There are no online classes available for entry level DPT degrees. There are online classes for the transitional DPT degree which is for current physical therapists without a doctorate degree who wish to get a doctorate degree.

The vast majority of physical therapy schools require the following courses to be admitted:
Chemistry I and II
Physics I and II
Biology I and II
Statistics
General Psychology
Abnormal Psychology or Child Psychology
Anatomy I and II
Physiology

Each school has different requirements. Some may require more math courses, like Calculus, while others won't require so much. But the above prerequisite list is the "basic" list of classes you will need to have passed with a minimum of a C in order to be admitted. Your previous degrees are irrelevant so long as you have those prerequisite courses. The vast majority of schools will also require you to shadow a physical therapist for 50 hours or more. I highly suggest shadowing physical therapists in multiple settings (inpatient and outpatient) for a lot more than that. This is to make sure you are truly interested in physical therapy and because getting into physical therapy school will be hard. It's very competitive.

You can try visiting PrincetonReview.com to search for physical therapy schools; just make sure that whatever school you go to is APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) accredited.

In short (or not...), you can get into physical therapy school with your current degrees and fulfilling the prerequisite requirements. It'll be a lot of work, will take up almost all of your free time; the schooling will be challenging, and you'll have to do multiple clinical rotations, but it's definitely worth the time, effort, and money.

Good luck!

online college vs. "real" college?

We Answered:

That's right! Online study is of no value for something which requires hands-on training if your hands have to be anywhere except on a computer keyboard. Don't waste your time and money. Schools which "sell" online health degrees only want your money. They can't teach you anything.

If you are interested in IT online, do not take it from a proprietary (for-profit) school. They only want your money. Take it from an non-profit public or private college.
