We Answered:

I have never done physical therapy for pelvic floor dysfunction but I have talked to several women who have done so and had very good results from doing it.

Physical Therapy for vaginal prolapse?

We Answered:

The alternative to physio is surgery. In the best hands this can give excellent results, but it is complex and does have a fail rate. You could avoid the waiting list be seeing a physio privately. The cost need not be prohibitive as it does not take long to teach the pelvic floor or Kegel exercises. this site:

may be of help, but it is wise to get some one to one training.

My doctor prescribed me physical therapy for mild bladder prolapse. What will they do there?

We Answered:

The physical therapist should definetely be someone who specializes in this treatment...not every clinic offers this, so you may need to do your homework.

The initial evaluation will focus on a history of your problem and well as an examination. It might include an internal examination and possible use of force tranducers to establish the strength of her pelvic floor. The aim of therapy is usually to reduce or eliminate episodes of incontinence or pelvic pain.

As to your actual prognosis, this would best be assessed by the PT evaluating you.

I want to stop being horny, any remedies?

We Answered:

I don't know of any meds to help lower the estrogen levels, but as far as the mood one thing that can help is to take B6 in either a bottle by itself or as part of a bottle of B Complex.

However, I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say before trying it.

Lauren Said:

Any experience with pelvic floor physical therapy (vagina)?

We Answered:

This is a very specialized field of physical therapy. Therapists who do this type of treatment get intensive training to do both general functional testing as well as internal examination. Some treatments you might expect include strengthening exercise, flexibility exercise, biofeed back, etc.

Although I don't do this myself, it's a very needed niche in the field and I appreciate what my collegues go through to complete this specialized training.

Good luck with your rehab.
