Went to school for something, I don't like anymore? >_<?

You can always take it slow...like if you really want a family you can have a kid and while you are raising him/her you can sort of explore your options. There are lots of adults going taking classes, they even have more online classes, and many adults are getting internships to get a feel for whatever field they are interested in. It's nothing to be ashamed about at all. I think it would be a good way to get your feet wet. Then, if you like it, go take the classes that are required. And don't forget there are some fields that don't need actual college degrees...it's good that you are married, and if your husband makes enough to live on it's not so bad. good luck!

I need help budgeting my future.?

We Answered:

Using Google Docs I have created an Excel like program that I use to track my own finances. If you would like you can have it for your own purposes. If you want it....just send me an email and I'll share the document to you and then you can create your own google docs account and then save the document to your personal account. I have friends that use this program and we track every penny spent. For example, I can tell you that I spent over $5000 at walmart last year. $1800 in gas. $230 to netflix...etc, etc. You can budget monthly Jan-Dec and there is a tab for totals at the end.
Send me an email from my profile.
It is pretty easy to use, it just takes dilligence. What I like most about the spreadsheet is it gives a view of the whole month and the amounts change as you update it, so if you want to forcast how buying that tv today will affect your bill-paying ability for the month in two weeks, it will show you instantly.

Should I become a physical therapy assistant or a physical therapist?

We Answered:

In my experience PTA are in need. PTA you could be done in 2 years. For DPT you are going to need 4 semesters to complete your DPT pre reqs. Depending on your specialty you can be a mom. I work in peds and follow the school calender. My boss is a mom and very family friendly. Starting a family in DPT school would be extremely difficult. You can do the PTA track and if you decide, you could go into a PTA bridge program since you already have a BS

How can I be a stay at home mom?

We Answered:

It depends on where you live too but here is what my husband and I do:

BUDGET!!!!!
-make a list of all your monthly bills
-make a list of all things you spend money on, like groceries, entertainment, etc.
-try to keep groceries around 75 a week and only go once a week.
-limit entertainment as much as possible, i.e. eating out, movies, (we even cancled our cable bc I don't have much time to sit anyways)
-we sold one of our cars and share one now (knocked about 300 to 400 a month out bc of gas, ins., and car payment)
-in the beginning I also watched another child for some $ but it is really hard with a newborn

Other small tips:
*coupons
*store brand stuff
*breast feed bc formula is insanely expensive

Good Luck. Things will be tight for a while but they will ease up.

Having two jobs in the medical field?

We Answered:

If you absolutely want to be a dietitian, go for it. In order to have benefits you need to be full time so you do not want to work 2 part time jobs. If you are looking for a job while going for your masters to become a registered dietitian, then go and be an LPN. It takes one year. The classes you need for any of the specialties are really not transferable to a RD program. As a PT or PTA, we can not give people "diets", we can discuss healthy choices, we refer back to the MD or to an RD. RD tend to work with people who have medical conditions. They often work in hospitals, group homes or nursing homes. They do some out patient counseling at the hospital but most of it is for patients in the facilities. You will be lucky to have more than very short time with each patient.

None of the jobs you recommend will you make 90K., not even close. Do not pick a job on salary, or you will hate it. Pick a job because you love it.

Shadow PTs and RDs, get a massage and discuss the career. Nursing is tough to shadow but spends some time volunteering in the hospital. .

Better have a at least few thousand dolars to keep yoyu going for a while.Plus money to do a car repair if needed.
Room-mates stink they stick you and it's as if you were all alone paying for the whole ball of wax.
You won't make it in fl on 8590. plus a part time job.
but i adnmire yiou for wanting to get out of a dead end situation i been there, it stinks.
You sound like a well motivated person like many people wish they had the guts to do wan you speak of.
the restaurants are suffering badly and thewre are old folks working to stay above water your only salvation will be maybe renting as room from a retiredf person for as little as possible and then you;l need time to drive and find a part time job abaove your anticapated job at walmart if you have lined opne up ahead of time, don't count on it.
Good luck.
