You are correct, aside from a handful of schools, you can have your BS degree in any field. However, as with all schools, you MUST complete the required science courses.You do not need to apply for a second BS degree, just take the required courses as electives. I've know many PT students who had their BS degrees in art, dance, etc. They just took the PT prerequisites on the side.
...be careful about taking the courses at a community college...make sure your courses will transfer. Check into the graduate school and make sure they do not have any stipulations on how many courses you can transfer from different schools.

Below is the link to required courses. Unfortunately you may need math up to calc as well as stats The issue is you need to have a good working knowledge of math for your pre reqs for physics, chem, kines and your research project.
