I don't want to regret staying in the Nursing field.....please help?

We Answered:

Many pharmaceutical and medical device companies would love to have you as a sales rep, but you'll need a BS/BA in something to go along with your hands-on experience. Go to the Medical Device Network web sites and read through some of their topics and recruitment backgrounds of companies.

Use of 'Placebo therapy' in the management of physical and psychological ailments...........?

We Answered:

The Placebo Effect" is a very serious problem for the drug companies. Whenever they study the effects of a new drug on Humans they have a control group which gets a placebo. Interestingly the control group, many times, have the same beneficial effects of the drug without having ever received it. This says a lot about "Mind over body" healing techniques.
The drug companies do not want placebos to work. If you want to fear a conspiracy then worry about them trying to make placebos stop working.

tendonitis/tennis elbow...help!?

We Answered:

I've never hurt mine bad enough to require surgery, but I have had some pretty bad cases of elbow tendonitis. If the doctor says you can do without the surgery, there are a couple things you can do. There are some elbow bands that wrap tightly around you bicep/tricep to give the muscles something besides the tendon to pull on while doing normal activities. These work pretty well. Your doc may also prescribe some anti-inflammatory meds to reduce the swelling. If he is giving you cortizone shots and telling you that you need surgery though, the injury is probably more severe than mine, and this won't be enough to help. If you do have the surgery, I have no doubt that you will have some PT afterwards. Your best source of info about this is your doctor.

Radial Collateral Ligament injury -- Looking for a good source or forum to research and discuss this matter?

We Answered:

My suggestion is to see a hand specialist as a doctor/surgeon and a certified hand specialist (CHT) therapist. Often CHT therapists are occupational therapists but occasionally they are physical therapists. Often hand specialist doctors know of CHT's that they trust. The hand/wrist is an extremely intricate and complicated area of the body and I have seen regular orthopedic docs get in over their head dealing with hand/wrist injuries.

Can I sue for distress, punitive, and lawyer fees?

We Answered:

Simple answer: If you can find an experienced personal injury attorney who will take your case on a contingency, you have a good case. If you can't, you don't.

Trust me, that attorney will know every single thing you can possibly sue for, since they're paid a percentage. :)

Good luck.
