Physical Therapy Houston

Ivan Said:

how to become a physical therapist?

We Answered:

Hello
Here are the links for schools listyed by state for PT programs.
http://www.apta.org/AM/Template.cfm?sect…
And here are PTA programs.

PT requires a Masters degree and PTA requires an associate degrees. Both types most likely will require you to take some pre-requisite classes and then apply to the schools program. Schools usually accept a limited amount of students into the program each year. So your best bet is to look at the links and see what schools are near you and see about applying to that particular program.

University of houston or university of north texas? Which one is better?

We Answered:

They're both good schools. I would choose North
Texas because of logistics. Man, you don't want that Houston traffic day after day!

Floyd Said:

Whats a great University in Houston Texas to study Physical Therapy?

We Answered:

Here is a list of accredited programs in Texas...not sure which ones are in Huston. Generally speaking, any program that has maintained consistent accredidation is a good school. Those with a high first pass rate on the board exams is also an argueably good school.

Texas
Angelo State University (A4, D5, F1, PU)
Hardin-Simmons University (A4, D6, F1, PR)
Texas State University-San Marcos (A4, D5, F1, PU)
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (D5, E1, E3, F1, PU)
Texas Woman's University (A4, D6, E1, E3, F1, PU)
The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (D5, F1, PU)
The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (A4, D5, F1, PU)
University of Texas at El Paso (D5, F1, PU)
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas (A4, D6, F1, PU)
US Army-Baylor University (A4, D6, D7, F1, PU)

Those with the notation "D6" accumulate in a doctorate degree.

Sherry Said:

Are there any good docs in Houston who treat CRPS?

We Answered:

I know how bad it can be to find a doctor to help you treat your CRPS. You certainly need a new doctor! Unfortunately I don't live in Houston so I haven't had any personal experience with doctors in Houston, but you can try some of these websites to see if they can help you find a doctor to go to. You may just have to switch around to many different doctors until you find one who is good, and able to treat your pain- I've had to do that a lot. You also may want to look into a Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS) for your pain. You can get names of doctors who treat pain, and do SCS's at www.ans-medical.com
Also here are some other sites that you can search for doctors that treat chronic pain etc.
http://www.neurologychannel.com/mdlocato…
http://www.mdjunction.com/find-doctor/ad…
www.webmd.com
www.discoveryhealth.com
search under neurologists, and pain management doctors
and this site has good information about finding a good doctor to treat you. http://www.rsds.org/4/resources/finding_…
Hope that helps!
