Either or is fine. It depends on your interests. If you want to work with teams then I would say AT is better. Also you can work as an AT while going to grad school. I would not go to the Cal State PT programs (in my opinion--fine for AT) as they have not become DPT yet. They are one of the few programs that haven't and it has to do with the state charter. These programs need to convert to DPT in the next few years. if they do not they will not be accredited.Please realize that PT is a generalist program. You will need to learn all of the specialties including pediatrics, geriatrics, integument, orthopedics, neuro, acute care etc.
