In WNY, accredited PT schools include Daemen, Dyouville, and UB. Canisus?, Daemen, and Brockport have athletic training programs. There are plenty of jobs in WNY for PTs. There are atleast 5 jobs in the Sunday paper everyweek. But there are many unadvertised job. One of the nursing home chains, asdvertises daily on the news. Other agencys are using traveling therapists because they can not find therapist. We have three schools in 15 minutes of each others. There are states that only have one ore two programs in an entire state. We also have 3 PTA programs in 30 minutes of each other. Rochester an hour down the road has 2 schools there.

It is very difficult because in the US you are now required to have a graduate degree to get licensed. You need to contact the New york state education department for information as they are the ones that license in NY

Not sure about NY or NJ but if you are willing to go just a bit further, Philadelphia college of Osteopathic Medicine is outstanding.
