Cindy Said:

i am a physical therapy student doing an undergrad thesis, could you guys suggest any topic or question for us?

We Answered:

Here is one that every therapist would be interested to see the results of,

"Why do patients miss therapy visits."

It is something ther every therapist has to deal with to some extent and has the possiblity of actually impacting the practice of therapy.

Individual case studies or treatments for rare dysfunctions are nice to read but they have little practical use in the clinic. It is better to find something that would be related to what most therapists do.

Here's something to consider:

Think of the soldiers returning from war (hard to think of, I know) but many of them need severe to moderate Phy. Therapy.

This is a current topic and sure to earn a good grade.

Senior Project on Physical Therapy. I need HELP!?

We Answered:

How about the growing trend for physical therapists gaining "direct access" laws? This means people can see a PT without first having to see a physician. You could review the educational requirements and discuss if the education warrants having direct access.

...and then go to http://www.apta.org for info

Discuss It!
